If you've read The MDG Story, you know why we are more obsessed with cancer than the average folk. But instead of allowing this obsession to manifest in the form of a permanent scowl (not pretty), we strive to channel our passion for good.
Is Murchison Dry Goods a non-profit organization?
No. We are a for-profit, small business owned by a woman entrepreneur (and cancer survivor), Carrie Murchison. That said, giving back to others affected by cancer is the driving force behind our little company and has been at the heart of Murchison Dry Goods' business model since the very first sale.
Who benefits from the purchases I make on murchisondrygoods.com?
Our 2012-2013 beneficiary is:
CaringBridge provides free websites that connect people experiencing a significant health challenge to family and friends, making each health journey easier. CaringBridge is powered by generous donors (including you and us).
CaringBridge websites offer a personal and private space to communicate and show support, saving time and emotional energy when health matters most. The websites are easy to create and use. Authors add health updates and photos to share their story while visitors leave messages of love, hope and compassion in the guestbook.
CaringBridge has a very special place in the heart of our founder, as it was the family lifeline in her 2008 cancer journey.
Can you support an organization I care about?
Yes! We do support other cancer-related organizations (research organizations and otherwise) through our pro-bono and heavily discounted design services. If you are interested in graphic design or other in-kind contributions for your local cancer-related organization or event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for helping us in our healing journey.
